A work-related visit just a few days before the start of the season gave me the rare opportunity to experience and capture the Melchsee-Frutt ski area in complete solitude. The landscape had an almost surreal stillness – quiet, pristine, and untouched. In the series «the calm before the storm» I tried to convey exactly this unique atmosphere.
